Women in ICT foundation group photos

We are a global movement of aspiring technology divas made up of members, partners and an ecosystem of networks that share our values and that have the same mission of striving for an Inclusive Tech industry. The issue of women empowerment in Tech is of major importance. We have to tackle it as a global community so as to drive sustainable change and create the necessary impact.
Women in ICT was founded by Kadiri, Ugbede-Ojo Dominic, co-founded by Ejike Edwin in 2017 (finally birthed in 2018) and Mrs. Ifeoma Igboabuchi (of the blessed memory) as a founding member.
Other members of the organization when it was first founded includes: Nataniel Usman, Kenneth Ezeaku, Eagle Echono, Esther Achilihu, Justina Isaac, Nkiruka Agu, Zion Omatule, Chika Offiah, Ubale Isah and Grace Onoja,

Our path to Perfection

It was a long journey to come where we are now. Here is how we started.

  • 2018

    Bringing team together

    Appointing a wonderful team is frequently the only way to assemble the knowledge and breadth required to pull off many of the complex tasks organizations face today. As a founding team member, we take it upon yourself to build a collaborative culture—it’s actually not just a job for the higher-ups. A key way we can do this is by supporting our co-workers, especially when they might otherwise go unseen.

    Head Office, Abuja Opened

    On this day, April 20th 2018, we open our first office at Suite 401, 4th Floor Kojo Motors Building, After Ministry of Environment, Works and Housing, Mabushi Abuja.

  • 2019

    Official Innauguration

    This Global Gathering represented the first time that Women in ICT proper consideration as a global public priority for action within the United Nations, as part of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and Goals. The inauguration of Women in ICT Foundation took place on November 2019 at Planet Hall, Bolingo Hotel & Towers, Plot 777 Independence Avenue, Central Business District, Abuja.

    Our first successful project

    We made our first step to success by successfully finished our first project on Gender Based Violence ( 7days intensive training for women and young girls on Sexual and Gender Based Violence) with more than 300 participants across the federation.

    Leading the future of tech diversity

    Hard work, many sleepless nights and great passion for what we do, made us leading non-profit organization the technology industry and STEM profession generally.

    Writing the future

    The year has just started and there is a lot work and new projects to do. Our movement is led by an amazing team of staff and volunteers who passionately care about our mission. Women in ICT is represented worldwide.
